Camelia Badea is an experienced researcher, having worked in different applied research and social projects at the intersection between anthropology, sociology, and public policy mostly on minorities and vulnerable groups, specialized on Romania within the regional context. Her main research interests are related to work and employment. She is currently working with the REDI NGO as a researcher covering topics such as: Roma employment and entrepreneurship in 4 countries (North Macedonia, Serbia, Romania, Bulgaria) with focus on Romania, as well as policy-related monitoring and research. Camelia took part in local and transnational grass-roots activities for minorities’ rights and solidarity-building and has experience in international and interdisciplinary projects. She has worked both in public institutions as well as in the non-profit sector in the past 15 years. Her most recent publications record includes various research reports on local communities for the National Institute for the Quality of Life/UNICEF, World Bank Romania and academic research centers, as well as policy-related unpublished manuscripts.
