While the overarching aim of PARI is to achieve new knowledge about how religion and religious actors can contribute to social inclusion in local communities, the expected results of the project is that experiences of social inclusion have been created through the pilot projects and that strategies for local inclusion work between the Roma population and the religious actors can be developed. On the one hand, this means on a more abstract level that processes of more awareness around this issue have started in religious organizations. On the other hand, there will be more concrete outcomes:

  • brochures and other publications with information, strategies for the social inclusion work between Roma and religious actors (churches, NGOs, volunteers).
  • the use of participatory methods which will become more common at the Romanian partner institution and in the field of theology and research about religion in Romania in general.
  • research publications that will be written during the project, in the fields of history, sociology, and theology. It is expected that Romanian and Norwegian senior and junior researchers, postdocs, and PhDs will publish together and intensify their research cooperation through the publication work.
