Daniela Stanciu-Păscărița studied History at the Lucian Blaga University from Sibiu, finishing a Master degree in the theory of elites. Her doctoral research at the Babeș-Bolyai University, Cluj-Napoca focused on a comparative approach of the leisure activities of the Germans from Transylvania and Banat before and during World War I. Consequently, her field of research comprises urban anthropology and the study of the city in modern times, history of nationalities and minorities, history of everyday life with regard to the social, cultural and demographical aspects.
During her studies, Daniela Stanciu-Păscărița undertook some research internships in Germany and Austria at the Eberhard Karls University of Tübingen (2011), Institut für donauschwäbische Geschichte und Landeskunde, Tübingen (2014 & 2017), Institut für Osteuropäische Geschichte, Vienna (2015), Humboldt University of Berlin (2018 & 2019).
